We offer the choice of tungsten lights or studio flash for portrait and product work. Digital makes light work of colour corrections and Michael's experience with theatre lighting comes in very handy. We set up as though to light an actor or a stage set . Medium and large format film capture is also available but with the quality afforded by the Canon 1D MkII there would have to be a very good reason to choose those options. These examples are from the less capable by half MkI.
It doesn't hurt that Nick Hardin actually is an actor. He hails from New York but one day an Irish nurse hailed his cab and now he hails from hereabouts--"but hey kid , them's the breaks". Nick has had his mug shot more times than he cares to remember--but reckons this is up there with the best of them-- and we believe him.
This set-up was shot for "Still Life" a CD by Song-writer and Piano Player Bill Rodgers. A Wooden picture frame was shot separately and combined for the themed cover.
Economics dictated the final version be printed in monochrome.
We think the colour original more 'commercial' but a budget is a budget and the mono version suits both the album title and scale of CD reproduction.
We do not charge studio time: we charge by the job and the job goes on until everyone is happy with the result !
