Derek has an old fashioned fondness for classic Black & White front of house shots.  As time is always pressing in theatre work he recommends shooting  digital for quick directorial approval and processing--digital is excellent for colour accuracy  and if necessary glossy high contrast black and white  stills can be produced from the same files.
